Jane Needham SC was admitted as a legal practitioner on 3 August 1990 and commenced practice as a barrister. She was appointed Senior Counsel on 29 September 2004. She is currently the Junior Vice President of the Bar Association of New South Wales. She was a Deputy President of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal and Divisional Head of the Revenue Division until November 2011.
She was awarded a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales majoring in Mediaeval English and Linguistics in 1985, and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Technology, Sydney in 1990. She was a Part-time lecturer in Law at UTS in 1991-3 and 1998, teaching Land Law, Succession and Pleadings.
